Metamorphosis - A multidimensional approach to the rapture

Metamorphosis - A multidimensional approach to the rapture.

Has the body of the believer been redeemed? Will Christians be delivered from bodily form and enter the World of Soul's as taught by modern-day Pharisees? Will the heart automatically be changed when the soul enters it's eternal habitation? How does the Apostle Paul advise on these points? "Metamorphosis" will take a daring look through the eyes of the Apostle to behold the exceeding power of God to redeem the mortal body.

According to 1st Thessalonians 4:17 the dead and the living are changed just before meeting the Lord in the air. Paul described this transition from mortality to immortality prolifically in his epistles. Yet these passages on forms, schemes, and appearances are often underappreciated, either because of their Dualistic terminology or due to their seeming irrelevance to daily Christian life.

Just as Dimensional Theory advanced by modern science corroborates the biblical account of creation, thinking in extra-dimensional terms clarifies Paul's insights on man's material and spiritual existence. Unlike the progressive efforts of sanctification and edification, Paul acknowledged only two outward forms of existence; the natural and the spiritual. Studying the two bodily forms and the transformation between these two outward appearances effectively expands the mental picture of the rapture moment.

Instead of addressing, "When is the rapture?" Metamorphosis first answers the question, "What is the rapture?" Christians who have studied Paul's epistles recognize that the rapture mentioned in First Thessalonians Four is the change detailed in First Corinthians Fifteen. He only mentions the rapture once in passing, whereas, he describes the change at length. But often Western Protestants overlook the significance of this bodily transfiguration because they are focused on escaping "the things which are coming on earth." Their hope is trained on the avoidance of suffering rather than on the putting off of their mortal bodies. Those who are in Christ will escape the judgment at the Lord's return. In fact, they will be immune to all future harm once they have put on immortality.

The Holy Spirit bears witness and guarantees that all who are in Christ will be changed. This moment of change has come to be called "the rapture." But Paul used a word which is only similar to "rapture" in his first letter to the Thessalonians. The Redemption of the Body is the term Paul used in many of his other writings, and "redemption" is a better expression for the word actually used in 1st Thessalonians 4:17.

The Greek source-text is irrefutable. Every letter of every Greek word in Verse 17 has been transcribed without textual variation from the time of the second century papyri. How is it that some Protestants expect to be completely delivered from the Tribulation while others expect to go all the way through the Tribulation? Are they reading the same Bible? Well, not exactly. A closer look at the ancient texts reveals that modern English Bible translations define the rapture inaccurately.

What's in a word? Although a word similar to "rapture" is found in the original manuscripts, harpadzo is not the word used in 1st Thessalonians 4:17. Harpagae, not harpadzo, is the Greek stem. Harpagae is the word found in the source-text of every English Bible, from the King James to the modern paraphrased editions.

Harpagae and harpadzo are not interchangeable! Old and Modern English idioms have, likewise, inadvertently obscured the western view of the rapture. Employing the correct lexical definitions of the words used in verse 4:17 restores the English translation to its original meaning.

Defining the rapture moment is not limited to the information provided by Paul to the Thessalonians. The Apostle was visualizing and commenting on this mysterious moment throughout his epistles. "Metamorphosis" develops a broader understanding of the rapture by harmonizing these rapture related verses from Paul's other New Testament writings.

In 1st Corinthians 15, Paul explained this mystery as a death-and-resurrection event. This destructive and reconstructive process was implied by harpagae in the original-language rapture narrative.

Metamorphosis shifts the focus from the macroscopic, all-encompassing rapture, to the microscopic view: the Lord's descending, the resurrection, the rapture, and the meeting. Although the living and the resurrected dead are changed at the same time, Paul's assertion that the dead must rise first is crucial for positively locating the rapture on the end-times timeline.

Learn why Paul considered God's power to manipulate the fabric of existence to be essential for our knowledge of God. Understand why Christ must subdue our lowly bodies; and, why Paul admonished those saved by grace to "Awake to righteousness, and do not sin."

Doug Krieger
John Haller
Doug Woodward
Chad Schafer
Doug Hamp
Norm Franz
Chris Steinle
and more!

Doug Krieger shares an amazing comparison between Replacement Theology, Dispensationalism, and the Commonwealth of Israel. Doug analyzes the dynamics of "distinction" and "separation." While maintaining the One New Man and Israel at the end of the age.

John Haller will discuss the Restoration of Modern Israel, "The wise who will understand." And commentary along the lines of his viral Weekly Prophecy Update.

Doug Woodward will discuss "The Next Great War in the Middle East" which Doug believes to be the Gog Magog War. Doug explains his position and how his predictions compare to the Islamic Antichrist Theory, Psalms 83, Armageddon and the new "GAP" theory. Doug will also offer an explanation why most of the world is standing against Israel.

Chad Schafer and Doug Krieger look at "who is Israel?" and what God has been doing over the last 2,000 years with the House of Israel and House of Judah. Schafer and Krieger will examine often overlooked Old Testament prophecies and identify current events fulfilling Bible prophecies today.

Doug Hamp will speak on "Reclaiming the Rapture." Pastor Hamp will demonstrate that the Gathering is mentioned over 50 times in the Old Testament and that the identity of the rapture and the events around the rapture have been misappropriated by mainstream theologians.

Norm Franz will present a prophetic panorama covering the last 100 years, and moving forward, examining the transitioning of Global Orders leading up to the rule of Antichrist. This will be a powerful report by an expert in finance, politics, and world affairs which will of course focus on Israel.

Chris Steinle will discuss the Authority Question as it relates to Israel, God's government, and the law and lawlessness. Steinle will also examine the rapture process in multidimensional terms that will draw us closer to God and attempt to unfold the mystery of glorification.
